Oral Roberts Memorial Service – Monday, December 21 2pm CST
Celebrating the Life of Oral Roberts: The Man Who Obeyed God
January 24, 1918 – December 15, 2009
Join us online tomorrow for the live stream of Oral Roberts Memorial Services. http://www.orm.cc I am told there will be more than 200,000 people joining in to watch the online service. Amazing.
Here are some quotes from Oral Roberts from his site.
“Expect a miracle!”
“In the midst of the turmoil, the fear, the anxiety that’s in our nation and in our world, as I was walking and meditating, I heard the voice of God. I’ve heard that voice many times; it’s familiar to me, and there’s no way that I can fail to understand it’s His voice because I’m familiar with it.”
“God is a good God, and the devil is a bad devil.”
“Something GOOD is going to happen to you today!”
“God wants you well. God wants you prosperous. God wants you a whole person.”
“God came to take off you what the devil put on you,
To take out of you what the devil put in you,
To put back on you what the devil took off you,
And to put back in you what the devil took out.”“I respect doctors, and one reason is that they have grasped this eternal truth and are against sickness and for health. Consciously or unconsciously, they have a pretty good theology of healing. Sometimes I wish we Christians had such a good theology of healing. Then we might be less inclined to argue about whether it’s God’s will to heal or not.”
52″ SmartTV by Apple*

How many years until we all have the brand new 52″ Apple SmartTV* ?
Technology is moving. Fast. Just think about this: a bit more than 100 years ago Ford Motor Company started putting cars together on an assembly line – a major technology advancement. Now we are streamlining how we access information and communicate with different people and culture groups all over the globe. Get ready to see technology rapidly change our world. Here are the quick stats from 2007 just for comparison:
- What’s next? X.X B (post it)
- Mobile Phone 2.7 B
- Television 1.5 B
- Credit Card Users 1.4 B
- Interent 1.1 M
- PC Users 850 M
- Registered Vehicles 800 M
Stats from Cameron Moll’s book, Mobile Web Design, and link. Also, for more on where Mobile is going see: MW4D Mobile Web for Social Development Road Map (MW4D) #mobile #web
*it’s real, it just hasn’t replaced your TV, yet. And it’s not quite 52 inches.

Woodlands Church and “Where The Wild Things Are”

Series art for “Where The Wild Things Are” Capturing the Wonder of an Untamed God. We had a ton of fun shooting for this one. The original story was written by Maurice Sendak. You can check out the new movie trailer here http://wherethewildthingsare.warnerbros.com/. Woodlands Church is kicking off the new series right after Easter! The video team is working on the promo video now and we should have a link soon to preview. By the way, the kids in the shot are Blakers and Savannah, they did an amazing job. Also, we had a seriously talented team involved in this project: Justin Keller, Roy Ford, Toby Canning and Charles Booth. Very very fun. Here are some shots.

One more. Kinda blurry but still cool.

Geoff McFetridge did all of the hand-drawn title sequencing for the upcoming release of Spike Jonze’s, “Where The Wild Things Are” full length feature film.

Church Internet Campuses // Harvest.org // NewSpring.cc // LifeChurch.tv
Just a quick screen capture of the live Sunday service webcast from Harvest.org.

It’s great to see churches broadcast their service over the Internet. I wanted to see the camera angles, shots, etc. It’s always interesting to see how much effort goes into different church web casts. LifeChurch.tv goes all out with an Internet Campus pastor and the option to choose worship services and more. Newspring.cc recently launched their new Internet campus a month or so ago.
So when are we launching? That’s the question. Submitting the details for our 2009 vision and goals next week. Fun stuff.

Still bringing it. LifeChurch.tv Internet Campus.

Don’t Vote
O.k. don’t vote. The election is already over so you missed it anyway. These are great spots about voting and it points viewers to Maps.Google.com/Vote. Very cool.
At Maps.Google.com/Vote you can find your voting location by entering in your home address. It also reminds the web user that they have to register to vote and that the location shown is for the November 4th election day only.

Who doesn’t love the Beastie Boys and the John Otjen.
I honestly love the instantaneous feed of life recorded through the Internet and social media. I almost cracked a rib watching this bad boy. Here is a clip of “The John Otjen” rockin out to The Beastie Boys, singing “Sabotage”. It is amazing. Trust me. Or better yet, check it out for yourself:
I believe the crew in Oklahoma City were throwing a going away party for Aaron Havens who is now living and ministering in Mexico. Props to Aaron who is just following a call; he moved his family into one of the poorest areas of the world to just be Jesus to people. Check out his blog and journey at http://openapologies.org/. Some really cool thoughts and more importantly actions from these guys.
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.”
Titus 2:11
grace…
Do you stand proud of the kingdom you’ve built?
or
Does this merit an apology?”
My response: I probably have not discovered the level of boldness that Christ had for His Church while he was here on this earth. This life is definitely a struggle. I wonder everyday why it seems so hard to do it well. I too have many apologies to give; but better to live them out than just offer words. I thank God everyday for His favor and grace.
