“Twitter in Church” Front Page @HoustonChron

Wow, great article posted front page on the Sunday, October 11 Houston Chronicle Newspaper. “Praise for Technology: Tweeting during church services receives blessings from pastors.” Really excited that Pastor Kerry jumped in and is experimenting with new technologies and connecting with the congregation. I am still amazed and how church is viewed and how this sort of thing might create controversy in the public. Check out the comments and the rest of the article here: http://www.chron.com/disp/discuss.mpl/metropolitan/6662287.html
Seems to be a bit of a controversy Tweeting in church. What do you think? Cast YOUR VOTE. Also, fun note: just got off the phone with my other half and she said this is the main article on the front page of the printed edition!! Amazing. Give a quick hello to Pastor Kerry via Twitter and maybe follow Woodlands Church if you want to track with us.

Great article! Your comments and thoughts can be posted via the huge button below.
Apple’s WWDC 2009 “Developer Conference”

| “Preview is now up to 2X faster, better text selection in PDF (using a “little bit of AI”). Better Chinese text input, just like on the iPhone — uses the trackpad to draw characters.”
“Apple has come from a different place — they love Leopard and wanted to build upon it. They set a challenge for themselves to build a better Leopard — lots of refinement, powerful new technologies, and Exchange support.” |

| “Microsoft is trying to get out of the hole they’re in with Windows 7. However, they have the same set of problems as before; registry, DLLs, defragmentation, etc. Windows 7 introduces even more complexity.” |

2008. waxing. pastors. hilarity. love facebook.
Ok, best practices for using Facebook. Come up with a really cool event like “student pastors get body waxed” live on stage Sept 13/14 if 2008 students attend student service. Love it. spread the word. Here is the link: http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=23248228467
2008. waxing. pastors. hilarity.
if 2008 people come to The Student MInistry services at Woodlands Church for ONE WEEKEND on Sept. 13 & 14, then all 5 pastors of The Student Ministry(Mike, Mark, Jon, Clayton, and Daniel) will wax their chests, live on stage the following weekend.
There will be tears. There will be screaming. This will be hilarious!
BUT, it’s all up to you!!! Tell your friends to come. Tell your friends to tell their friends…WE have to get 2008 people in order to see the funniest waxing session ever!
Woodlands Church / Fellowship of The Woodlands. Good stuff Mike Taylor and team. absolutely love it.
Ready to Unconference at Podcamp?
What is a PodCamp?
A PodCamp is a usually free BarCamp-style community UnConference for new media enthusiasts and professionals including bloggers, podcasters, YouTubers, social networkers, and anyone curious about new media. The first PodCamp was held September 8-10, 2006 in Boston, Massachusetts. PodCamps are now being held worldwide.
PodCamp isn’t just about podcasting! If you’re interested in blogging, social media, social networking, podcasting, video on the net, if you’re a podsafe musician (or want to be), or just someone curious about new media, then please join us — and bring a friend or colleague.
Check out a PodCamp nearest you. We may have to travel to Austin, TX to see if this social media, new technology, unconference is worth the time.
